As we move into the end of 2017, Smart Employment Solutions have had a chance to stand back and reflect on the whirlwind year that was and reflect on all of the hard work and goals that our apprentices and trainees have accomplished throughout the year.

SESAT is celebrating by introducing the 2017 SESAT Apprentice of the Year Award – sponsored by Busy at Work, Total Tools Biggera Waters and Burleigh Waters and Building Industry Training. Apprentices from across the divisions of Brisbane and the Gold Coast are nominated by CEO, Stephen Craven on the grounds of their outstanding effort, dedication, and academic achievement in their chosen field. Check out the details below and find out how the winner will be crowned:

Apprentice of the Year awards process:

At the beginning of December, each nominee will be asked to produce a short interview video that will be broadcasted on SESAT’s 15,000 strong Facebook page and be able to showcase to the world why they should be the Apprentice of the Year. SES Facebook fans will be able to like and vote for the apprentice they deem worthy to hold the prestigious title, however, our selected judges will ultimately be making their decision based on the below merits:

SESAT will consider the below criteria when selecting the winner:

  • The apprentice’s attendance record
  • The apprentice’s achievements in participating in studies at college
  • The apprentice’s quality of work on-site

What is the prize?

Not only will the Apprentices of the Year receive bragging rights for the year, but they will also take home a share of nearly $4,000 worth of tools and products from Total Tools and SES – Total Tools are one of Australia’s leading and largest industrial tools retailers.

When will the Apprentice of the Year be announced?

Voting will close, and the presentation will take place at the SESAT Awards night held at the Nerang RSL on Wednesday 21 February 2018. The announcement will also be broadcast onto SESAT’s Facebook page.
